Cooch Behar Palace – better known as the Victor Jubilee Palace – is a prestigious historical landmark in Cooch Behar, West Bengal of India. This magnificent palace has been given an uniquely European, renaissance appearance through the design work of the architect. The palace was built in late 19th century by Maharaja Nripendra Narayan. Extending over many wide open space, the palace is a major emblem of the rich cultural history of the old Cooch Behar Kingdom. Thanks to its elegant arcades, towering columns and beautifully planned gardens it’s an excellent spot for photographers. Interestingly, the royal palace’s museum features the legacy of royal family, history of the region and an array of extraordinary artifacts which date back to the early days of the kingdom. The interiors are equally impressive, their grand halls and former royal rooms. Today it is both a historical museum and attracts constant visitors to it.
