This is an excellent location for starting your holiday fun in Saraburi. What I tell you is exclusive and definitely exciting. Many crocodiles live at the Saraburi Crocodile Farm, but their exact number is unknown; they also put on impressive shows for guests. It’s incredibly important to be safe here and of course, all precautions have been put in place. However, as well as crocodiles, you will come across other animals here too. In this area, you’ll also find different species of deer, monkeys and birds. Your children will enjoy it and so will you. An interesting thing about this farm is that it raises crocodiles for sale to the farmers.
November and December, when it’s cold, turn Saraburi into a beautiful scene as the sunflowers grow along the roads and in the fields. There are at least 10,000 acres of terraced fields found in Saraburi and they all seem even more amazing than the last. During that time of year, there is also a sunflower festival. If you want to learn more, you can see the best gardeners there and ask them for advice. Simply viewing the area or enjoying the winter sunlight can both be lovely and if you can make it to the fields when they are in bloom, it’s something you really don’t want to miss!
That’s one of the many reasons you must visit Saraburi and it’s an experience you won’t soon forget. The temple in Phra Phutthabat district, Saraburi province, is called the “temple of the Buddha’s footprint” and attracts many Buddhist pilgrims. Long ago, King Songtham, who ruled in Ayutthaya, ordered some monks to go to Sri Lanka to pay respects to the Buddha’s footprints. Yet, the monks confirmed that his pilgrimage included footprints here in my nation. Local men found the footprints as they were chasing a wounded deer. The deer came from among the bushes, completely cured and that is how he found the footprint holding water. After drinking that water, his skin disease disappeared. Then, it was ordered by Songtham the Great that the area over the Buddha’s relics be turned into a temple. Today, the footprint is stored safely in a golden case at the top of a hill. Though you can’t see the footprint, the area has remained a sacred place for worship. Lots of entertainment, food and music are available at the festival.
The provincial capital is also home to a National Park and it spans four districts. The thick forest in the park includes ironwood and Burmese ebony trees. For hikers, Van is a wonderful place to explore its many mountains, waterfalls, caves and the convenient reservoir for kayaking or swimming. Near the park office is another interesting site: the World War II Memorial of the Japanese Army. You’ll notice the trenches, command room, treasure room and bunker lines were really used by the Japanese army while they were based in this area during the conflict. These volunteers, called nature study roots, are excited to learn about the plants in the park and that’s very interesting.
It’s a park found between Saraburi and Nakhon Ratchasima that has an amazing waterfall and a wonderful nature walking trail. Chet Sao Noi, the name for seven small girls, is a waterfall at the Seven-Tier Falls on Muak Lek River in Thailand. The other story behind this waterfall is that seven little girls perished when they drowned while swimming. Even so, there is definitely something special about this place. How would you explain that the water flowing down each step doesn’t make a splash? Close to the waterfall are hundreds of banyan trees, with their roots partially in the water. Everything about this place feels wonderful and compelling. While a few parts of the waterfall are secure from the currents, others are strongly discouraged by the authorities.
In the area, you will also find some vineyards for a fun visit. Khun Malee vineyard is an example and also one of the most popular. It comprises 96,000 square meters of happiness, where you get to watch and learn how to look after and breed vineyards and even enjoy some wine while doing it since everything is picked before fermentation starts. Their favorite product is the one their customers order most. Grapes are seriously used in this grape water toffee? More items that might be produced are grape juice, grape jam and those alike. Try samples of local wine and also put your trimming skills to the test with those vines.
Should you have admired the sunflower fields, then you should plan to see this spot as well. The land for this garden was bought by Mrs. Prapimarn Phrompitak, when she retired from being a Government teacher. There are so many chrysanthemum plants covering more than eight years of hard work and it’s really worth seeing. A cafe is also available if you’d like to enjoy a cup of coffee and feel grateful for all that nature gives us.
People all over the area flock to his museum which was created by Ajarn Srongchai. If you want to learn about Thai houses, you can find plenty here. For thirty years or more, Ajarn has accumulated and preserved this group of traditional houses. He did something else besides that too. He has also introduced the plants, animals and everything characteristic of the style of house. Just across from Baan Kao Kaew is the Yuan Village Centre. Here, you’ll not only get an explanation of the place but also catch a show and enjoy the dishes this area is known for.
The garden is found inside Phra Phutthabat Phu Kae Superior National forest and was the first botanical garden. It also enables research of the plentiful plants found here. With approximately 35 kinds of trees, the garden was once nicknamed the ‘Heaven Garden’ by people living there, who are impressed by the variety of brightly coloured flowers you can see. Because of its great research, students of botany travel here often to study the various trees and plants within the park.
Located 100 meters up from the hill Khao Kaeo are stairs that lead to this natural wonder and beautiful thing. When the sun comes into the opening of the cave, the cave walls seem to shine like many little stars, coming in different colors. The reason the cave is called Dao is because Thais call a star Dao. A lot of stalactites and stalagmites hang from this cave and form a lovely appearance. Going to a cave means your journey takes on a bit of adventure!
