Jalicha Dev at Shrikshetra rests approximately 28 km away from Ajanta while it resides 25 km from Buldana as the main sacred shrine of Mahanubhava Panthiya’s “Jalicha Deva”. In the twelfth century the visionaries behind Mahanubhava Panth named Sri Chakradhar Swami traveled through Maharashtra. Swami journeyed to Kanashi Bhadgaon Pachora Shenduni Changdev after his stop at Sri Chakradhar Swami Gangathira before reaching Hartala. Swami left Hartala to proceed to Savladbara. In the dense forest he placed himself under the karvanda net vines at Valsawangi which falls within Jalna district. Two young tigress cubs showed themselves to him in that location. He hugged the tigress cubs close to his body while patting their bodies gently. A tigress arrived at the location where Swami sat and let out a loud roar. Swami stared at her and immediately she began to move her tail like a typical pet dog. The incident took place during a moment when Swami was seated within a net between flourishing vines. Therefore this sacred location received its name as God of net. Laxman Rao Patil who served as District Devotee (Chair) of Jalgaon arrived at Vaghoda in 1936 to seek healing from leprosy. His twenty one-day fasting period took place at this location. Named after. One day at three in the morning of the twenty-first day a sadhu appeared in his dream. A promise emerged from the dream that your shadow would result in my destruction of your illness. Mr. Patil recovered his health shortly after the waiting period. In accordance with his dream vision the Lord commanded him to eliminate the vegetation and he commenced building the temple during 1938. During the era of Nizam’s Badshah’s rule the authorities refused to authorize the project. Then (Kai.) The local priest (Chairman) Dattubuva together with Mr. Patil acquired construction rights at Hyderabad. The assembly hall became complete in 1942 allowing the temple to conduct its Kalsharohan ceremony in a magnificent way.
S.N. The place remained uninhabited between 1920 and 1925. The local residents of Savaldeva village continue to remember how builders made the stone and clay pot while vines were used for netting.
