Located in the Dahod district of the state of Gujarat close to the border with Madhya Pradesh, this sanctuary is one of the few protected areas which is exclusively reserved for the shrouded and mysterious sloth bear.

The sanctuary is in a covering of a dense forest which is ideal for a sloth bear which has a shaggy coat long snout and a strange feeding habit. The place not only shelters these bears but also houses a large array of the flora and fauna and thus a conservation area.

What is Bhagoria Festival?

Bhagoria is a spring festival that is observed generally in March although the end of harvesting and new agricultural season begins from the same time. It is the period, when the nature is full of blossoms, and the community unites for the celebration of life, love, and prosperity.
