The first stop is Sueb Nakhasathien’s statue; he was a hero who gave up his own life to highlight the challenges faced by forest rangers in Thailand such as corruption, criminals and illegal logging.

The long journey on the Trail
Since the trail isn’t too difficult or remote, it is comfortable for most tourists to go there. However, don’t plan on seeing a lot of animals since they often appear at random times and taking your time is important. Be sure to contact the park in advance to see what the best times are for seeing wildlife, because timings may vary for each area.

While the land isn’t extremely rugged, this site offers a safe home to elephants, tigers, banteng and hornbills, among other rare species. Noticing these creatures can be challenging and a bit of chance is involved. Even so, just knowing you’re there is a beautiful experience.

Since the sanctuary does not share much information, make sure you are informed before you arrive. While we traveled there, both the information booth and the website of the National Park were not accessible. Even so, overcome this thought by not giving up.
