1.’Mat’ Valley 

Located just about 15 kilometres from Serchhip town, lies one of Mizoram’s pride in terms of agriculture, one of the serene and fertile patch of land known as ‘Mat’ Valley just for this reason that the valley is located against the banks of river Mat. It is perhaps low key, but this valley is of utmost importance in rice farming in the state of Assam.

A ‘Mat’ valley is home to roughly 65 committed farming families who gather year by year to farm/pasture the land and tend the fields. Thanks to their combined work and the valley’s fertile alluvial soil, the land gives a remarkable yield – yearly harvesting about 18,000 tins of rice.

Other than as a rice-growing hub, valley is a symbol of Mizoram agriculture communities, its people’s resilience and harmony. Here, farm is not just about livelihood – it is a way of living, with strong connection to tradition, community based, with nature is respected.

2.Thenzawl Golf Course

Thenzawl golf course is one of the finest all-round golf course of North East India. Formerly it is the first and only Golf Course run by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. 3.Vantawng Falls

Sited roughly at a distance of km 137 from Aizawl, Vantawng khawhthla or Vantawng Falls is lofty and the grandest of all the waterfalls and falls that are a flowing river of Mizoram. It is situated in Vanva river, near Thenzawl and is named after Vantawnga who was said to be a good swimmer. Such a fine swimmer was Vantawnga, that while playing the water he could hover just as well as any fish; yet in one such sports he met his end through a falling log coming from above.

Its height is measured at 750 ft and though it is quite hard to get too close because of the towering forested hillsides, they have built in a viewing tower that is a good spot to watch.
