

Tatapani is 12 kilometres distant from the divisional headquarters Balrampur and is countrywide famous for its natural exhausting hot water. For a year, waters onto reservoirs and springs of water there was heavy water from the ground. Heat is defined “to heat” in the native language. That is why this place is named as Tatapani. Lord Rama in the game, as well as the boiling oil bowl in Sita’s mother’s hand hit Sitaji’s Paththar. Hot oil flows to the ground, and hot water pours from the ground where it meets the oil droplets. This spot area, is considered revered by the village people, and said to heal all worst sickness if soak in hot water here. People visit from all parts of the state to see this lovely view and soak in the hot springs.
There is a four years old idol in the Shiva temple here which is worshipped every year and millions of devotees flock to have a glimpse during Makar Sankranti celebration. Dipadih is at a distance of 75 Kms on Kusima Marg from Ambikapur. Located at a short distance to the west is a town on the name of Dipadih. In the vicinity of Dipadih lie the archaeological remnants of Shaiv and Shakya sects existing from seventh to fifteenth century. In the vicinity of Dipadih, there will be number of Shiva temple. There is a Beautiful statue of God and goddess Durgsy, river, Shivaling . There are beautifully carved delicately sculptures of Lord Vishnu, Kuber, Kartikeya and other god goddesses on the pillars in the premises of this temple. A typical idol of Mahishasur Mardini could be possible seen among the Goddess sculptures. Devi-Chamunda is embellished with sculptures. Uraon Tola’s Shiva Temple is a work of art. The outer reefs of Shiva temple are inscribed with serpents, peacock, monkey, geese and sculptures. A Panchayana-style Shiva temple is present at the Sivan Sarna complex.
The temples of this temple are magnificently decorated with geo-metric designs. The entrance of the temple is carved out with the image of Ganabhishekya Lakshmi. Uma-Maheshwar eagre statue is visible. You can have luck at the artistic remains of Rani Pokhara, Borja Tila, Semal Tila, Ama Tila, and other at this place. The Mathini sculptures by Dapdih is inspired from Khajuraho’s style. Semersot sanctuary sited at 58 miles from Ambikapur on Ambikapur-Ramanujganj Road. Its range starts from the distance. This sanctuary is watered by Sandur (Saswad),SemarSot (Chetani),Sasu rivers. The Semersot River runs all the way through the body of the reservoir. As a result, it was named Semersot. Bamboo groves can be seen in the north of Semersot reservoir. It is a total with an area of 430.36 square kilometres. The trees, the trees, the trees, the years, sarai, mango and tindu all together they are the fragrance of this sanctuary. Leopards, gaur, Nilgai, chital, sambhar, kotra, son dog, jackal and bear can be seen in hilarious manner amidst the wild animals. From November till June, this refuge is open to the public.
