The musical fountain situated on an island created in a artificial lake in Maitri Garden is active event of the dynamic nature of which changes in consonance to the music so that it reproduces the style and the accent of the musical composition. As the music resonates, jets of water splash, twist, sways, pirouette, pulse, drum and skip with the rhythm – each movement illuminated by shining lights. 2 shows take place here in the evenings on alternate days. Situated on the bank of river Sheonath, in midst of picturesque surrounding this temple of the 23rd Teerthankar Lord on the earth Shri Parshwanath, commemorate his pious visit to this place – about 3000 years ago at an age of 900 years in the form of Shraman (A Seer wandering mendicant dedicated to the welfare of the mankind through self-sacrifice). Many scattered Jain Sculpture, hundreds of devotees, and the dilapidated ancient shrine, along with Lord’s Foot print historically signify the Lord’s visit to this place. The way as to how locating, acquiring and finally installing the ancient idol in such a mystic manner also exclusively proves, his ultimate good. This shrine is almost a drama of Jain-devotional philosophy carved on stones. Visit to this shrine evokes noble activities, self -control, penance and tranquility.
This is a Jain temple in the Nagpura, Nagpur in the year 1995. The campus has temples, guest houses, a garden and Naturopathy and Yoga Centre. The entrance to the majestic marble temple of Shri Parshwanath is through a 30 metres gate having french windows in which has the idol of Parshwanath, supported by four pillars (four essentials of spiritual atonement, i.e. wisdom, introspection, good conduct, penance), being worshipped by two elephants. Sacred water-Amiya, pours from this idol. Hundred of pilgrims devote on this shrine on full-moon.
