Bhoramdev Sanctuary is situated in Area of Green Hariers. Set up over land of 352 square kilometer, this wildlife reserve has big number of natural and pre-historic features in it. Kanha National Park &Achanakmar Tiger Reserve act as an amelioration of both.
Bhormadev Sanctuary was declared as a Sanctuary in the year 2001. Then chhattishgarh came in Existence as new state. Along with the Chilphi Valley, an extended buffer zone of Kanha National Park also went into the newly made Chhattisgarh state. Since this region of Bhoramdev and Chilphi was already in the shape of a connector between Khanha National Park and Achankamar. Wildlife movement has always been in place. So are similarities in the species of wild natives also to be found. Also here was only reported on the name of Bhomdev Temple, named as Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh.
Bhormadev Temple Sanctuary ranges from 800 53 ‘east latitude to 810 10’ latitude and 210 54 ‘north longitude to 220 15’. In the north it goes up to the south boundary of Dindori district, then Mandalakona touches the north bar of the village in the south. Similarly, from Chapri village to Chapri village is the eastern boundary of the Western Border Reserve, this sanctuary extends up to the fifth village of Balaghat district on eastern boundary of Kanha National Park in the west.

Bhoramdeo is thousand years old temple is in Chouragaon, 18km from Kawardha, in the district of Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh & 125 Km from Raipur. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is artificially placed between the mountain ranges; it was built by the kingdom of Zahor between 7th to 11th century. There is a glimpse of Khajuraho temple in the temple here, so this temple is also referred as “Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh”.
The templeβs face is east. The temple is a fine specimen of civilian buildings. The temple can be accessed on three sides. The temple is constructed over a five feet high stambha. Through the three portico can be entered directly to the temple pavilion. The pavilion length is 60′ and width is 40′. In the middle there are 4 pillars and on the side are 12 pillars which have held up the pavements of the pavilion. All pillars are crafted very nicely and artistic. On each pillar there is a keecha which is operated by the roof.
