The religious and historical temple of Richaria Baba located in Dhanaura generates a substantial 15-day fair which takes place following Diwali. The fair attracts worshipers who journey from various distances. A large selection of shops together with an amusement ride named swing exists at this location. People present at the fair both purchase goods and make religious devotions to Richariya Baba. People fulfilling their wishes through wishes also conduct Bhandara at the Lok Mela location. In the main temple a black stone Ashtabhuji statue of Lord Vishnu remains while other statues are present throughout the temple premises.
The temple demonstrates the significance of archeology since the archeology department recorded about 10th century relics and sculptures there. After bathing at the temple pond people continue their religious observances in the place of worship. The excavation of the temple pond produced the religious artifacts which became the basis for establishing this sacred site. Villagers built the temple based on their establishment. People consider this religious establishment as their center of devotion. Available records do not provide further information regarding how Richhariya Baba got its name as the temple’s principal deity.
The Pench National Park within Seoni district exists in the southern regions of the Satpura hill range which occupies the southern extent of MP. The park contains numerous species of wildlife including Tiger, Leopard, Wolf, Bison, Deer and reindeer, Peacock and Black buck. The adventure spot ‘The Jungle Book’ in Pench derives its name from the Pench River which bisects the park into two sections. Pench received its Nation Park status during 1983. Two entry gates into Pench National Park exist at village Karmaziri together with Turia. Forest, tourism department and private hotel services together with vehicle transportation provide tourist access at both these sites. The pench park makes its facilities accessible between October and June annually.
