Best Visiting Place in East Kameng for Nature, Culture & Adventure

1. Kaziranga National Park

The three valleys namely Pakke-Valley, Pappu Valley and Passa Valley are worth viewing from the top of the road. The winding style of the rivers make them more lovely. On the two sides of the river paddy field is planted. Lumdung (passa) is regarded to be the biggest attraction for migratory birds in the winter season. May valleys become greener with natural beauty in Summer Season. Lumdung-Pappu Valley is located under Seppa Block, Passa and Pakke Valley is located under Pakke-Kessang Block HQ, Pakke-Kessang, which lies in Pakke-Valley. Lumdung (Pappu) 21 Kms, Passa (Rilloh) 78 Kms, Pakke 140 Kms, from recommended headquarters (Hqr) i.e., Seppa district. One can book Sumo or Van and visit these places and stay in Inspection bungalows. Pakke-Kessang is a cold place and requires warm articles of clothing.

One can visit Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary under Seijosa Circle. It is 64 kms distance from Tezpur and 225 kms from Seppa, the district HQ.

Hill Stations
The localities of Bameng , chayangtajo and Pakke-Kessang are like The Hill stations. They are at a distance 48kms, 81 and 141kms respectively from Seppa. Chayangtajo popular for “Gorichaan”, the Himalayan top most Tip cold Mountain also visible from its Bameng.

Angling & Fishing
In winters, River Kameng attracts a masses for angling and fishing. Those who wish to fish have to seek general permission from the district
