You can also come out from nearby Chapaguri station which is 24 km away but you will have to cross a river. One can also reach from Kalamati from Guwahati via NH31A route starting from Guwahati.
The best time to visit the Kalamati region is from winter to the spring, weather is more pleasant. Monsoon season should actually be avoided as rains in the forest can be challenging to the tourists. Even in the summer, place is warm and humid.

There exists a railway station in the vicinity of the place and so you may travel up to this place by train also. The private bus stand and the government bus stand are also nearby such that you can use their services.
Weather condition is too hot during summer season in this area; therefore, it is recommended not to visit in late summer. Moreover, due to heavy rainfall it is not easy to reach here and move during the rainy season. The ideal time for visit in Bhumeswar Hills is between winters and spring, as the climate is cooler and so travelling is comfortable.
