Goalpara district of Assam is a fantastic holiday spot which is embellished with many known tourist places. One of the tourist places is the Dadan hill from where Shiva temple is located. Dadanποι,who was abashied general of king, of Sonitpur called Bana had got pierced a wild elephant here with a spear while it used to obstruct him when he sat in meditation. Summers at Goalpara are not overly harsh but the rainfall due to the monsoon is quite heavy in the district. Best time for holidays in here is 10 and February months.
