Located at a distance of 50 km from Ranchi, Dombari Buru is a mesmerizing hill, which is a silent spectator to the courage and sacrifice of Bhagwan Birsa Munda during Ulgulan (Rebellion) against the British colonial rule. The hill, which earlier became red with blood, in the rebellion, is now all set to get a significant makeover, and face-lift, courtesy Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

Ulgulan had the hills and forests of Jharkhand transformed into battlegrounds of the old-fashioned and ferocious rebellion of the tribesmen and midway to the central site of tribal resistance being Dombari Buru.
