Situated right in Suphan Buri, Buffalo Village (or Ban Kwai) lets visitors experience what traditional rural life is really like for Thai people and their water buffaloes. Although a few activities had to stop because of the pandemic, our time there was still special and we won’t soon forget it.

Although most of the common cultural exhibits and demonstrations could not run because of Covid-19, the village culture came alive simply by feeding the buffaloes.

Visiting the Buffalo Café was the unexpected highlight of what we did. At this moment, we saw a group of buffaloes swimming in a pond after the smell of bananas. Watching them swim over to us and let their heads pop up for feed, it was difficult for me not to laugh. It was their attentive eyes and gentle behavior that made everyone find them near-irresistible. Giving food to my pets was not only amusing—it really helped me relax!
