Sitting on the rocky hills of the Arvalli district, Zanzari Waterfall is close to Dabha village in Bayad taluka. Covering the banks along the Vatrak River, this Sikh shrine stands out for its peacefulness, beauty and religious value.
Zanzari is small compared to most waterfalls but is famous for its several gentle drops over strong stone formations. After a rainy season, the waterfall can be seen at its fullest and most colorful, since the Vatrak River is swollen with water.
The main feature of Zanzari is the basin of rocks created when the area eroded and collected water, forming a plunge pool. The mixture of black rock, water and greenery is perfect for any of these activities.
The Ganga Mata Temple which is highly respected, is located near the waterfall and its stream continually bathes a Shivling in water from the spring. The sacred significance of the site complements the wonderful beauty of the Niagara Falls.
Many guests at the Shoreline of Boogey Lake spend their time here praying, meditating or simply thinking and the constant sound of the waterfall helps relax them.
In the northeastern corner of the Arvalli district of Gujarat, situated on the banks of the Meshwo River, is the famous Shamlaji Temple. The temple is widely known as “Shamlaji no Madh” and attracts people because it brings together worship and fine architecture.
This temple is highly recognized in Gujarat, but its origins are a mystery. No one knows who designed and built the temple which remains a mystery. Still, studies have shown through fossils and the remains of settlements that the site has seen people live on it for nearly 1500 years.
This temple design is a beautiful sample of medieval Indian temple architecture. The skill and art seen in the carvings of the shikhars, columns and statues indicates these were created in the Solanki or post-Solanki era.
Lord Vishnu is worshipped in this temple in the forms of Shamlaji or Gadhadhar, who is known as a protector of travelers.

To become part of the brilliant tradition of Kartiki Poonam
For harboring a peaceful riverside spiritual feeling
To discover the many archaeological sites in Gujarat
Just a short distance from Shamlaji Temple and Bhiloda in the Arvalli area is the memorable Devni Mori. This place clearly shows that Buddhism existed in Gujarat many years ago and gives us a glimpse of the great spiritual and intellectual level of the time.
In ancient days, the land of Devni Mori was filled with several hills along the Meshwo River. There was also a site called Bhojrajaja’s Tekra and along with the nearby plains, it formed a place of worship and study for Buddhist monks.
Today, the region is peaceful, but in earlier times, it was full of Buddhist monks and pilgrims. Evidence from this site shows that Buddhist architecture and religion flourished in old Gujarat.
The highlight of Devni Mori is that it reflects both the scientific and artistic advancements of the time. The many parts of a stupa, its records and paintings suggest that people were deeply interested in intellectual and spiritual matters.
Just as ancient Indian universities were both religious and educational centers, this site probably provided the same opportunities.
